No. 2 Florida State Shuts Out Evansville

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Opening the 2015 postseason much like they ended in 2014, No. 2 Florida State (15-2-4) recorded a 3-0 shutout of Evansville (6-11-3) on Friday night at the Seminole Soccer Complex in the first round of the 2015 NCAA Women’s Soccer Championship. It is the seventh consecutive shutout for the Noles in the NCAA postseason and they have not allowed a goal since the 2013 College Cup.

Berglind Thorvaldsdottir scored two goals for her first multi-goal game in the NCAA tournament and the seventh of her career. Fellow Iceland native Elin Jensen assisted on both Thorvaldsdottir goals to increase her season total to four.
